Candle Care
A sculpted candle asks for a little more care than a jar. Three habits keep it burning clean, even and quiet for all forty hours.
First burn
- Burn for at least two hours the first time, until the melt pool reaches the edge.
- This sets the candle’s memory and prevents tunnelling later.
Every burn
- Trim the wick to 6 mm before each lighting.
- Never burn longer than four hours at a time.
- Keep it away from drafts, vents and moving air.
- Always burn on a heat-safe plate or tray — a sculpted pillar can soften at the base as it goes.
When not in use
- Store away from direct sunlight; UV fades both fragrance and finish.
- Stop burning when about 1 cm of wax remains.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets, and never leave a lit candle unattended.
